purpose

Give your career, business and life a boost in happiness!

What would you do if you were not afraid?

For each of us, it can mean something different:

It could be the difference between living to get by and living on purpose.

It could mean the difference between achieving our goals and living someone else’s.

I know what fear can do to my goals. It gives me a reason to become complacent, get cold feet and eventually give up. It gives me a reason to walk away from having to hold myself accountable.

A small percentage of people have managed to build a career, business or life around work they love. Unfortunately many people have been made to feel comfortable on auto pilot. They would rather follow then lead, sit out then play, sleep then work. They wait for someone else to call the shots and show them their happiness.

But what are we actively doing to find success in our own lives? How we choose to spend each day and the people we choose to surround ourselves with make a difference in who we will eventually become.

You have something great to offer the world but If you don’t know what you’re looking for, you’ll never find it.

We all have been put on this earth to contribute something. No matter how big or small our presence, we each have a unique gift that the world is waiting to experience.

However finding success and happiness takes work. Life takes work. No matter what we do. Succeeding in anything requires a great deal of time, energy and discipline. Even when we enjoy the work we do, there are tasks and responsibilities that don’t necessarily make our hearts skip a beat.

Climbing a ladder that you feel like jumping off of when you’ve reached the top will not make you happier no matter how much money you make. We have to learn to enjoy the process and experience living. That ladder to nowhere will feel very long once you’ve decided to stop and think about all the great opportunities you missed out on because you were too busy to truly appreciate your blessings and experiences.

Achieving someone else’s idea of success won’t mean anything to you if it doesn’t allow you to live your authentic self.

Coaching Exercise: Ask yourself these four questions:

If you had all the money in the world,

What kind of life would you live?

How would you make a difference?

What would success look like?

What would finding your purpose mean to your happiness?

Now, answer again the question what would you do if you were not afraid?
