Have workplaces truly evolved when it comes to their prevention of work stress and burnout?
I mean the measurement for productivity, has it really changed?
If you look at your organization right now, is performance primarily measured by how many hours you clock and the number of clients you brought in to increase company bottom lines at whatever cost.
Though it’s a topic that many people shy aware from, I believe workplaces have a very real challenge when it comes to two elephants in the room – stress & burnout.
All the more prevalent in our culture, employers and employees alike are dealing with the effects of stress and it’s silent killer of productivity can affect companies both financially and socially.
My guest on this episode is Sandra Reich, the Clinical Director of The Montreal Center for Anxiety and Depression. She has been featured in numerous popular publications as a highly regarded expert on the topics of Anxiety and Depression. If you want to know how to manage stress and lead an empowered life, watch this episode.
Sandra also talks about:
- What’s costing workplaces a lot of money
- The difference between stress and burnout
- The victim mindset and how to move past apathy to empowerment!
Now we’d like to hear from you.
What’s your biggest insight or take-away from this episode? What stress management resource has helped you lead a more empowered life? Let me know in the comments below.
Thank you for watching, sharing and taking this conversation back into your community so that we can continue to shed light on this increasingly important topic.
To your deserving success and happiness,

Dear Rashida, I watched the interview and I could say that there is a lot of great information packed in it. But that’s all it is, great information. Now, the problem of a victim or survivor is not a simple one. I am currently on a leave of absence, unpaid….having worked in healthcare for 20 yrs. I’m doing extreme selfcare after being a “victim” all my life. The true transformation starts with getting out of codependence in ALL relationships. The self-help advice unfortunately does not work for most people… we just spend more money on the promise that it does.
Thank you Lydia for sharing your experience. There is no one size fits all when it comes to managing burnout and chronic victimization. Self-care and self-love are daily practices that don’t necessarily require that we spend a great deal of money to achieve. However I definitely understand there are levels and challenges beyond what we discussed that need professional ongoing help and can be costly. I wish you much success in beating this and truly taking back control of your life!
This was a fabulous interview Rashida! I shared it out on multiple networks because I feel it is a message all need to hear. Thank you!
Thank you Franka for your great feedback and for sharing!! I’m so glad the message resonated with you.
