Over the last few months, I have been putting a great deal of thought on my social responsibility as an entrepreneur and the different ways I want to give back over the next year.

Why so much thought?

Because as I grow in business and in life, I have realized that I not only have an obligation to give back to the very people, organizations and groups who have helped me on my journey but also a commitment to seeing the community where I practice, develop.

In this non-stop, 24 hour culture it’s easy to see how we may forget that as we continue to succeed, we need not forget to reach back and help those who, like us, may need that opportunity in life. I believe we all a responsibility to enrich the very communities we impact everyday and it’s great to see so many communities today doing that very thing!

My guest on today’s episode is Denburk Reid, founder of Montreal Community Cares, an organization dedicated to empowering youth through education and community development. If you want to know how he is growing a sustainable community based non-profit business, watch this episode.
